A Raven 36
in Wenge with a curly maple Soundboard.
In
addition to the standard models, I build custom harps for players that have a very specific
idea of what they want - and can’t find in the marketplace. Custom building allows the player to specify
the sound, tension, spacing, range, style and levers you want. The
downside is the wait – my current waiting list for custom harps is about
eight months.
If you are interested in a custom harp, Write to have me add you to the waiting list. When your name comes up, I will contact you
and we will work out the specifics you would like on your harp. Then you make a deposit for the materials (usually
$700-900). It takes me about 10 weeks to
complete a fancy five octave stave back harp.
That
five octave round back with fancy trimmings and full levers and fluorocarbon
strings will cost about $3,900. A
simpler 32 string square back may be as low as $2,800. I will happily provide a cost estimate when I
put you on the waiting list, and then a firm quote when I take your
deposit.
